Through play and creating a safe community with others, Rocket Improv empowers individuals to release fear, speak up and speak out, and boldly be their awesome, unique selves.
Decades of Experience in your Backyard
Our instructors, many of whom are NJ residents, have decades of experience performing and teaching improvisation and have trained with Master Improv Instructors from Second City, Upright Citizens Brigade, IO Chicago, the Annoyance, and the Groundlings. You no longer need to travel into the city for quality improv training!

Firecrackers
1st-3rd grades
The main mission for the Firecrackers is to engage in improv through creative and imaginative play!

Rocket Fuel
3rd – 5th grades
Students are constantly creating their own scenes and characters, and cooperative play and teamwork is encouraged throughout.

Jet Packs
5th–7th Grade
Jet Packs is a fun class that is open and welcoming to all tweens that want to learn the art of comedic improvisation!

Rocketeers
6th – 9th grades
Jet Pack students who have studied at Rocket Improv and have established relationships within the program may become a Rocketeers class in which students are encouraged to foster a sense of ensemble, trust, and support.

Moonwalkers
8th – 10th grades
Teen students are encouraged to step outside their comfort zones, speak up and speak out, and release self-judgement. Budding young improvisers not only learn to "yes, and" their scene partners but to also "yes, and" themselves!

Advanced Moonwalkers
8th – 10th grades
Returning teen students continue to hone their improv skills with advanced exercises and more complex short-form style improv games

Blast-Off for Teens
9th – 12th grades
Rocket Improv students who have developed into a performing ensemble through their time together and wish to continue their training become their own improv troupe. They are provided with a director and an end of session professional level hour-long improv show.

Improv games are a great activity for a birthday party! Very quickly into the games the kids are getting up in front of each other and cracking each other up. It’s a real hoot!

Private classes and instruction are perfect for busy individuals who would prefer to schedule improv at a time that is most convenient for them.

Private improv classes, coaching and role play for ages 10-18. We can set you up with a professional instructor to run a series of classes for you.

Dungeons & Dragons
A game master will guide players through worlds filled with monsters, treasure and intrigue! The players engage in collaborative story-telling all the while having a great time and making memories!
