A week of summer day camp that is ALL improv ALL the time!
Rocket Improv Improv Camp is an inclusive and welcoming day camp for older kids, tweens, and young teens of ALL performance experience levels! Whether or not your camper has improvised before, the Rocket Improv Improv Camp program helps each camper grow and learn from wherever they are on their improv and performance journey.
RIIC, headed up by Rocket Improv director and head youth instructor Lulu French, focuses on finding the funny through supporting your fellow troupe mates, listening, being truthful, agreeing to and building on each other’s ideas, and heightening emotion. We believe that Improv is not just about “being funny!” Well, we do get rather silly… but really it’s about finding the funny in what is true - sometimes painfully true. After all, tragedy is comedy! We want to get out of our heads and tune into each other and what is organically developing in the moment.
FAQs
Can I request that my camper be with older and/or more experienced campers? Can I request that my camper be in a group with their friend?
Our Improv Camp is a multi-age camp where campers will be improvising with campers of different ages and levels of experience. Depending on how many campers sign up, we will divide up groups based on age, but unfortunately we will not be able to accommodate requests to be with older or more experienced campers. We DO however take requests for campers to be in groups with their friends and will do our best to accommodate those requests.
Can my potential camper try out camp for a day before we sign-up?
Sorry, but because our registration closes a week before camp starts for planning purposes, we are not able to take on new students once camp has started.
