Sandy's improv teaching style draws significant inspiration from the classic improv show, "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" This class utilizes many of the beloved and familiar games from that show as a framework for learning.

Students will discover how to effectively use their voices, bodies, and imaginations to create diverse characters and scenarios, and to tell engaging stories through a variety of improv games and exercises.

- Make active and positive choices
- Support & enjoy the physical, verbal and emotional reality of the scene
- It’s an actor’s job to justify all the information that’s been established and use it in the scene
- You are an important person and you have important things to say.  Be seen. Be heard.

Learn how to get out of your head and work as a team to create spontaneous, unplanned comedic scenes. Your instructor, Dreena, creates a safe and supportive environment for you to let loose and tap into your creative side. As we explore the fundamentals of improv, you'll learn to become a more active listener and more confident public speaker. We'll be creating interesting characters, thinking on our feet and most importantly, having fun!

From Zero to Hero: Improv Basics for Beginners

Learn the basics of improv comedy. Through games and exercises, you will effortlessly build your skills in agreement and collaboration, active listening, creating character, expressing emotions, making fun and creative choices, and being confident in front of an audience. 

The class will culminate with a showcase of games that will wow your friends and family.

This class is for anyone who wants to get out of their head and just have fun.
We will dive into lots of games and exercises that focus on facing the unknown and communicating with compassion. Step into a new character! Experiment with monologues! What about silent scenes? These are all part of the magic of improv. Messiness is encouraged.

Exploring Longform

This 8-week class is designed for improvisers who want to dive into the art of longform improv. The first four weeks will focus on the fundamentals—strong scene work, group mind, deconstruction, and heightening patterns—while the second half will be dedicated to learning and performing the Harold. Whether you're new to longform or looking to refine your skills, this class will help you build confidence, make bold choices, and find the fun in the unknown.
